Somewhere a few months further down the track, this memory got dislodged from being filed away and I looked up the details again and found the trip dates were now available and could be booked. Taking a bit of time to decipher what trips were on offer and when, I stumbled across one offering which completely blew me away and would enable me to see something I had known about before I came to the UK, but had thought would be virtually impossible to try and see. Not only that, the day's trip would let me do a number of other things on my unofficial bucket list at the same time. The date of that trip was a free Saturday for me - so I booked two tickets there and then, intent on going by myself if necessary but luckily when I asked Sasha, she said she'd like to come with me. So on the morning of the 10th October, myself and Sasha showed up to Tower Pier to board the PS Waverley for our day's outing.
Some while later, we went back up on deck and found we were well out into the Thames Estuary and were bearing down on our first target.
Things got interesting again as we approached London once more - it was now dark, so we got to sightsee all over again but this time at night.
