So last weekend was a bit eventful, and rather fun despite the weather being quite crap all weekend. Saturday myself, Rachel and Jeremy headed off to Brick Lane to meet up with a few friends of theirs where we spent some time looking around the semi-street fair and also had lunch there, with a lot of food choices to choose from - I think almost everyone got something different except for Jeremy and Spaniel who both got the massive hot dog with what was claimed to be the biggest Sausage in town. So big you can buy a half-sausage in a bun. Jeremy gave it a good go but couldn't eat all of it!
The main event for Saturday was of course later that evening - the Arsenal vs Manchester United soccer (sorry, football) game.
A fairly full-on weekend in all but not hugely so - but lots of fun. And on Monday, Jeremy didn't have work so we spent the day hanging out. First stop was to the Argos store to get a new airbed - the one I've been sleeping on developed holes and got to the point where I needed to "Do a Jebby" and pump it up in the middle of the night. We then went for a wander around, with Jeremy suggesting we go ride the Emirates Air Line and look around the O2. So we did - we caught the tube to Bank, then changed to the DLR (Docklands Light Railway). I didn't realise the DLR was so extensive, but that became quickly apparent while riding it to the Air Line. The Emirates Air Line is a Gondola over the Thames from the Docklands to the O2 Arena - it gets its name from the fact its a line through the air (gondola), and its sponsored by Emirates. Its quite a neat ride - although kind of over too soon.
That will do for now - until the next post!
